Top Five Gainers
Flour Mills led the top gainers' chart after its stock price gained N1.7 kobo to close trading at N18.75 kobo per share after opening today's trading with N17.05 per share, this is according to NSE market data seen by AllNews. BUA Cement was second on the table, as its stock price gained N0.8 to close the market with N40.2 per share, having started trading today with N39.4 kobo per share.
GlaxoSmith was the third top gainer as its stock price closed the market with N0.4 gain to move from the opening price of N4.9 kobo per share to N5.5 kobo per share. GTBank came next, closing the market with a gain of N0.35 kobo to end trading with N22.85 kobo per share from the opening share price of N22.5 kobo per share. Neimeth was last on the top five gainers table after its share price rose from N1.5 kobo per share to close trading at N1.65 kobo per share; representing a change of N0.15 kobo.
Top Five Losers
The top on the losers list was UACN, which had begun trading earlier today at N7 per share, only to drop in price by N-0.7 kobo to close at N6.3 kobo per share at the end of trading today. Dangote Sugar was second on the chart losing N-0.45 in share price to close at N11.5 kobo per share after opening trade at N11.95 kobo per share. Custodian also recorded a drop in its share price as it declined by N-0.4 to close trading at N5.1 per share, below the N5.5 kobo per share it opened with.
NEM Insurance closed the stock market at N1.9 kobo per share after shielding off N-0.1 kobo to drop from the opening price of N2 per share. AIICO completed the top five losers chart after it closed trading with N0.85 kobo per share, declining by -9.57% from the N0.94 kobo per share it opened trading with.
Top Five Trades
AllNews learnt that the top trades in the stock market for today were Transcorp, which traded volume of over 23.3 million units worth N14.3 million. Custodian was the second most traded stock today with over 19.1 million units worth over N97.7 million. GTBank was next on the list, trading 18.1 million units worth N411.6 million.
First Bank Nigeria was the fourth on the most traded stock list, closing the market with over 13.5 million units traded at cost of over N69.7 million, while UBA completed the top five list with over 9.7 million units traded today, worth N60.5 million.
