Stock Market Today: Morison Tops Gainers As Chi Tops Losers

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market closed with 4,437.00 deals on Wednesday, March 10th, 2021, lower than the 4,616.00 deals on Tuesday, March 9th, 2021. The volume reached 368,216,369.00 units at the close of the market on Wednesday lower than the 489,982,600.00 units it closed with on Tuesday.

The value of trades recorded on Wednesday was N4,909,785,806.54 with the All-Share Index of 38,931.25 an increase of 0.63% () over Tuesday's value of 38,686.85

The stock market also ended with equity of N20.37 trillion capitalization on Wednesday higher than the N20.24 trillion recorded on Tuesday

Top Five Gainers
Morison
led the top gainers' chart after its stock price gained N0.07 to close trading at N0.79 kobo per share after opening the trading with N0.72 kobo per share, according to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market data seen by AllNews.

Champion was second on the chart, as its stock price gained NGN0.18 kobo to close the market with N2.20 kobo per share, having started trading with N2.02 kobo per share.

Neimeth been third on the gainers' list closed the market with NGN2.09 kobo per share from the opening price of N1.92 kobo per share which represents an increase of N0.17 kobo gain in the share price.

Mutual Benefit takes the fourth spot, having closed the market with NGN0.03 kobo gain to end trading at N0.42 kobo per share from the opening share price of N0.39 kobo per share.

NAHCO was last on the list after its share price gained NGN0.14 kobo to close trading at N2.25 kobo per share, having opened trade at N2.11 per share.

Top Five Losers
CHI
tops the decliners' list today Wednesday, March 10th, 2021, having begun trading at NGN3.00 kobo per share, only to drop in price by NGN-0.03 kobo to close at NGN0.27 kobo per share at the end of trading.

Eterna was second on the chart after closing at NGN4.62 kobo per share from its opening trade price of NGN5.13 kobo per share; this represents a drop of NGN-0.51 kobo.

Conoil also recorded a drop in its share price as it declined by NGN-1.85 kobo to close trading at NGN17.05 kobo per share, below the NGN18.9 kobo per share it opened with.

N Nig. Flour Mill's share price fell by NGN-0.55 kobo as its share price closed trading at NGN5.15 kobo per share, lower than the NGN5.70 kobo per share it opened with.

Livestock completed the top five decliners chart after it closed trading with NGN1.70 kobo per share, losing NGN-0.18 kobo from the NGN1.88 kobo per share it opened trading with.

Top Five Trades
AllNews learnt that the top trade in the stock market for Wednesday 10th March 2021 is UBA which traded a volume of 74.84 million units worth N523.36 million.

FBN Holdings is the second on the list with a volume of 65.36 million units worth over NGN467.82 million.

Third On the list is GTbank having traded with over 34.34 million units worth over NGN1.06 billion.

Sovrenins was fourth on the most traded stock list today, closing the market with 34.22 million units traded at NGN9.85 million.

Japaul Gold completes the top five list with over 15.53 million units traded at NGN7.15 Million.
