Stock Market Today: See Top Five Gainers, Losers And Trades

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market closed with 4,299.00 deals on Monday, March 22nd, 2021, higher than the 4,311.00 deals on Friday, March 19th, 2021. The volume reached 277,235,456.00 units at the close of the market on Monday lower than the 290,615,950.00 units it closed with on Friday.

The value of trades recorded on Monday was N3,053,339,115.70 with the All-Share Index of 38,722.87 an increase of 0.89% (340.48) over Friday's value of 38,382.39

The stock market also ended with an equity cap of N20.26 trillion capitalization on Monday higher than the N20.08 trillion recorded on Friday

Top Five Gainers
Stanbic IBTC l
ed the top gainers' chart after its stock price gained N4.00 to close trading at N44.00 kobo per share after opening the trading with N40.00 kobo per share, according to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market data seen by AllNews.

Julius Berger was second on the chart, as its stock price gained NGN1.7 kobo to close the market with N18.7 kobo per share, having started trading with N17.00 kobo per share.

UACN been third on the gainers' list closed the market with NGN8.00 kobo per share from the opening price of N7.50 kobo per share which represents an increase of N0.50 kobo gain in the share price.

John Holt takes the fourth spot, having closed the market with NGN0.03 kobo gain to end trading at N0.49 kobo per share from the opening share price of N0.46 kobo per share.

International Breweries was last on the list after its share price gained NGN0.03 kobo to close trading at N5.40 kobo per share, having opened trade at N5.10 per share.

Top Five Losers
Champion Breweries tops the decliners' list today Monday, March 22nd, 2021, having begun trading at NGN2.44 kobo per share, only to drop in price by NGN-0.20 kobo to close at NGN2.24 kobo per share at the end of trading.

Jaiz Bank was second on the chart after closing at NGN0.64 kobo per share from its opening trade price of NGN0.67 kobo per share; this represents a drop of NGN-0.03 kobo.

Japaul Gold also recorded a drop in its share price as it declined by NGN-0.02 kobo to close trading at NGN0.47 kobo per share, below the NGN0.49 kobo per share it opened with.

CHI share price fell by NGN-0.01 kobo as its share price closed trading at NGN0.30 kobo per share, lower than the NGN0.31 kobo per share it opened with.

Learn Africa completed the top five decliners chart after it closed trading with NGN1.07 kobo per share, losing NGN-0.03 kobo from the NGN1.10 kobo per share it opened trading with.

Top Five Trades
AllNews learnt that the top trade in the stock market for Monday 22nd March 2021 is UBN which traded a volume of over 79.89 million units worth over N423.43 million.

GTBank is the second on the list with a volume of 36.13 million units worth NGN1.12 billion.

Third On the list is FBN Holdings having traded with 39.39 million units worth over N242.46 million.

Zenith Bank was fourth on the most traded stock market list today, closing the market with over N25.00 million units traded at over NGN562.5 million.

Trancorp Hotels completes the top five list with 24.06 million units traded at NGN19.47 Million.
