Stock Market Today: UBA Tops Losers As Share Index Falls Aga

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market closed with 4,616.00 deals on Tuesday, March 9th, 2021, lower than the 4,655.00 deals on Monday, March 8th, 2021. The volume reached 489,982,600.00 units at the close of the market on Monday lower than the 3,154,329,880.49 units it closed with on Friday.

The value of trades recorded on Tuesday was N6,650,079,861,42 with the All-Share Index of 38,686.85 a decrease of -0.76% (-) over Monday's value of 39,396.57

The stock market also ended with equity of N20.24 trillion capitalization on Tuesday lower than the N20.61 trillion recorded on Monday

Top Five Gainers
Champion
led the top gainers' chart after its stock price gained N0.18 to close trading at N2.02 kobo per share after opening the trading with N1.84 kobo per share, according to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market data seen by AllNews.

Neimeth was second on the chart, as its stock price gained NGN0.17 kobo to close the market with N1.92 kobo per share, having started trading with N1.75 kobo per share.

M Benefit been third on the gainers' list closed the market with NGN0.4 kobo per share from the opening price of N0.37 kobo per share which represent an increase of N0.03 kobo gain in the share price.

Dangote Sugar takes the fourth spot, having closed the market with NGN1.25 kobo gain to end trading at N2.90 kobo per share from the opening share price of N2.65 kobo per share.

ABC Transport was last on the list after its share price gained NGN0.02 kobo to close trading at N0.30 kobo per share, having opened trade at N1.84 per share.

Top Five Losers
UBA
tops the decliners' list today Tuesday, March 9th, 2021, having begun trading at NGN8.00 kobo per share, only to drop in price by NGN-0.80 kobo to close at NGN7.20 kobo per share at the end of trading.

Caverton was second on the chart after closing at NGN1.80 kobo per share from its opening trade price of NGN1.99 kobo per share; this represents a drop of NGN-0.19 kobo.

N NIG. Flour Mills also recorded a drop in its share price as it declined by NGN-0.60 kobo to close trading at NGN5.70 kobo per share, below the NGN6.30 kobo per share it opened with.

Vanleer's share price fell by NGN-0.70 kobo as its share price closed trading at NGN6.70 kobo per share, lower than the NGN0.99 kobo per share it opened with.

Mansard completed the top five decliners chart after it closed trading with NGN0.90 kobo per share, losing NGN-0.09 kobo from the NGN0.99 kobo per share it opened trading with.

AllNews learnt that the top trade in the stock market for Monday 8th March 2021 is UBA which traded a volume of over 122.62 million units worth N882.95 million.

Notore is the second on the list with a volume of 74.07 million units worth over NGN3.67 billion.

Third On the list is MBenefit having traded with over 57.74 million units worth NGN23.07 Million.

FBN Holdings was fourth on the most traded stock list today, closing the market with over 45.01 million units traded at over NGN323.77 million.

Access Bank completes the top five list with over 39.94 million units traded at over NGN302.63 Million.
