At least one child was killed in northern Syria, after a storm covered a camp tent and collapsed it.
The mother of the child was taken to the intensive care unit after their tent collapsed due to the heavy story in the Qastal Miqdad area.
The Daily Sabah reported on Friday that the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said two other children were also hospitalized.
According to the United Nations, as of January 19, around 362 tents had been damaged in the region and more than 400 families had been affected.
The United Nations also added that, in the northern camp of Abraz, families were evacuated.
Syria's ports temporarily closed operations after the storm also affected multiple places including universities and other educational institutions postponing exams.
