'Stranger Things': Director Niyi Akinmolayan Speaks On Seeing His Ideas On Netflix Show

Popular Nigerian filmmaker Niyi Akinmolayan has spoken about the reality of writers seeing their unpublished ideas on other TV shows.

The Man For The Job director took to his Twitter account to speak about the depression he felt for weeks after he saw his ideas on the first season of the hit Netflix show, Stranger Things.

And although Akinmolayan said his post was a light-hearted tone, one can gather that he really still feels hurt by it. 

"After Kajola, 2011, I wrote another sci-fi…d main Xter was a teenage girl dt was used for experiments.

"They wore an RGB grid on her n she could manipulate electricity. Whenever she did, Blood came out of her nose. I remember seeing stranger things S1 n was depressed for days lol", he said.

"Then there was the idea of time as a currency…till I saw “In Time”. I think about this a lot. Many of us with really cool ideas that may never happen and then we see it in a Hollywood film.

"Has this ever happened to you? Did you ever see a film and go…wow that was my idea. Lol", Akinmolayan continued.
