Students of the Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo have protested against alleged the negligence of students’ welfare on the part of the management of the institution.
The students in large numbers are protesting against the failure of the institution’s management to provide basic amenities like water and electricity to the students.
They also alleged that these basic amenities have been lacking despite the collection of exorbitant levies from them.
The protesters who blocked the major road from 6:00am halted vehicular movement at the school gate, thus forcing many road users to take alternative routes.
The students also called for immediate intervention from relevant authorities as the protest would continue until changes are seen.
Men of the Nigeria Police are at the scene of the protest to avoid breakdown of law and order.
