A former student of Covenant University on Tuesday took to her social media platform to alleged the school management for withholding her transcript and degree certificate since she graduated.
The student who said her name is Maria Orcheja claimed she graduated with a Bachelor's degree from the Department of Mass Communication in 2013 from the institution.
According to a video she posted on Instagram, she recounted how she had made countless efforts to collect her transcript from the institution.
She said "I'm trying to pursue my degree, and Covenant University is supposed to send my degree certificate or my transcript with the date of my graduation on it to Elsa Pennsylvania.
She added "this is a literary cry for help, I'm so frustrated, how can I be begging, have been begging you people from July, is it a sin to finish from the school, like I have never been this frustrated in my entire life.
"This is why things will never work in Nigeria and later you people will be saying, oh! it is our leaders this, it is our leaders that, I swear, this is more than a cry for help, I'm helpless, first they said it is Shiloh week.
"How will I be begging to collect my transcript, I didn't pay once, I paid twice for the same service, and they didn't send it, every day it is the same excuse, please Covenant University release my transcript to Elsa Pennsylvania in the United States. I have evidence, I have paid not once, I'm tired I have been crying all day.
"I'm tired of praying, I'm tired of crying, I'm tired of begging people, please release my transcript, my husband has called you people. When I was in school I never defaulted, I was good in two shoes, yes you will argue that I'm not the most excellent student or whatever, but I never did anything to offend anyone in that school...........".
Also, Ubi Franklin, A Nigerian Music Artist Manager posted the video on his verified Instagram page with the quote "COVENANT UNIVERSITY YOU HAVE BEEN CALLED OUT, DO THE NEEDFUL".
AllNews understands that this is two times in a row that students of the institution have been calling out the school management on different academic issues.
Recall that Covenant University is established by the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo on October 21, 2002, in Cannanland, Ota, Ogun state.
In 2019, Covenant University became the first Nigerian university to be ranked in the top 401-500 category of world universities by Times Higher Education.
