Two people have died after a suicide bomber exploded outside a restaurant in Mogadishu, Somalia's capital city, this is according to eyewitnesses and the local police.
The explosion occurred on Monday after the bomber was stopped by the security guard at the entrance of the restaurant.
Police officer, Abdirahman Mohamed, said, “The blast occurred at the entrance of the restaurant where a security guard stopped the suicide bomber before he had detonated himself.
“Two people, including the guard of the restaurant died in the blast."

Another witness at the scene, Abdukadir Mohamed, said that he saw two dead bodies and one injured person rushed to a hospital.
The restaurant where the explosion occurred is said to be a popular spot for government officials who are frequent targets of militants.
No group is yet to claim responsibility of the attack.
