Super Eagles captain Troost-Ekong 'leads' Nigerian stars in

The draws for the round of 16 stage in the UEFA Europa League and Conference League were held on Friday afternoon at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland with mouth-watering games in prospect, reports Allnews.ng. 

The first leg of the last-16 ties will be played on Thursday, 7 March, with the return legs scheduled on 14 March.

Super Eagles stars will be in action in the competitions following the conclusion of the round of 32 on Thursday night. 

Benfica will welcome Rangers in the first leg tie of the fixtures with the duo of Leon Balogun and Cyreil Dessers expected to be in action for Rangers. 

Sporting Lisbon is the home side in the first leg tie against Serie A side Atalanta featuring Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman. 

Samuel Chukwueze's AC Milan plays hosts to Peter Olayinka's Slavia Prague in the first leg of their duels but Victor Boniface will miss Bayer Leverkusen's double-legged ties against Qarabag. 

In the Conference League, China Akpom could lead the lines as former European giants, Ajax face English Premier League side, Aston Villa. 

Super Eagles on field captain, William Troost-Ekong will be in action for PAOK as they travel first to Dinamo Zagreb.

Ties take place on consecutive Thursdays next month - the first leg on 7 March and second leg on 14 March.

The Agia Sophia Stadium, Athens, Greece, is the setting for the Europa Conference League final on 29 May.
