Super Eagles Star Onyekuru Set For Galatasaray Match

Adana Demirspor’s manager Vincenzo Montella is confident that Super Eagles star Henry Onyekuru will be available for the clash against Galatasaray in the Turkish League on Saturday.

Both sides are involved in a top-of-the-table clash at the new Adana Stadium.

Onyekuru pulled out of the Super Eagles squad to face Algeria last week, citing injury.

The Italian gaffer is hoping to have Onyekuru back for the encounter.

“There are still a few days to the match. I think we will have Onyekuru available,” the Italian manager told the club’s official website.

“I don’t think we will play without a striker. It looks like we’re going out without a striker, but Onyekuru is a striker rather than a winger.

“In this case, I think we have shown everyone how offensive we can be.”

Galatasaray and Adana Demirspor are on the same point with 16 points from 7 games, but Adana have a better goal difference and therefore are on top of the log.

Onyekuru has scored two goals in seven league matches for Adana Demirspor.

He has been praised for his upturn in form for the Turkish club, which earned him a recall to the Super Eagles.
