Super Eagles assistant captain William Troost Ekong has been ruled out of the team's friendly clash against Algeria in Oran on Tuesday.
Ekong suffered an injury in the first test match against Algeria's home-based team on Friday, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
The 29-year-old has now returned to England for further treatment at his club Watford.
He expressed his disappointment at missing out on the clash with the Desert Foxes.
“Unfortunately, picked up something in our game yesterday. Back home now to sort it out. All the best to the boys on Tuesday,”.

Ekong's absence is a big blow for the Super Eagles coaching crew, with only three central defenders available for the encounter.
The former Udinese defender has now joined the likes of Ahmed Musa, Wilfred Ndidi, Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze, Emmanuel Dennis, and Umar Sadiq in missing out on the friendly match against Algeria due to injuries.
The Super Eagles will hope to improve their performance on Tuesday after a disappointing 2-2 draw against Algeria team B on Friday.
