Super Falcons Must Beat New Zealand To Boost Morale - Udeze

Ifeanyi Udeze, a former Super Eagles footballer, says the Super Falcons have to beat New Zealand in their next tuneup game in Turkey to boost their morale.

The Falcons will be in action against the co-host of the 2023 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday to round off international duties.

They edged past Haiti 2-1 last Friday in preparation for the tourney in July. 

While on Brila FM’s Breakfast Show on Monday, Udeze urged the Falcons to take advantage of a struggling New Zealand side who have lost seven and drawn two of their last nine games.

“It is important for the Super Falcons to beat New Zealand because it will boost their confidence ahead of the World Cup,” he said.

“It is important to win games like this especially as you prepare for a big tournament. 

"So I want to wish them all the best."

A win for the Falcons on Tuesday means it will be their third straight victory having gone on a seven-game losing streak which ended in February against Costa Rica at the Revelation Cup in Mexico.
