Superboy Cheque Bemoans 'Unjust Assault' By EFCC

Nigerian fast-rising star Akanbi Brett Bamidele popularly known as Superboy Cheque has lamented the alleged assault meted on him by men of the Economic Financial Crimes Commission.

On his Instagram story, the 'Zoom' crooner said EFCC took him and assaulted him unjustly.

He further wondered what kind of country is Nigeria.

"I was unjustly taken and assaulted by the EFCC, what kind of country is this??" he wrote.

Cheque was born on March 23, 1995, in Okitipupa, Ondo State and he grew up in Ondo Town, Ondo State. The singer attended Obafemi Awolowo University in Osun State and graduated in 2017 with a degree in Chemical Engineering.

He had shown interest in music right from childhood, so he didn’t seem to get a white-collar job with the degree. He is currently signed to Penthauze Music.
