The Supreme Court has reportedly given a final verdict on the use of the Hijab in secondary schools in Lagos State and by extension all states in the country.
News of the verdict was shared by Ahmad Adetola-Kazeem on Facebook on Friday, informing members of the public that the court had ruled in favour of the use of the head covering.
"Supreme Court of Nigeria rules in favour of Hijab for Secondary School Students in Lagos State and by extension all states of the country.
"... May Allah reward Alh. Gani Adetola-Kaseem, SAN who led the team of lawyers in this case and also signed and filed the brief of argument a few weeks before his death", he wrote.
Reporting on the development, the Nation disclosed that Lagos State was overruled by the Supreme Court on its restriction of the use of Hijab by female Muslim students of public schools.
