Suspected Motorcycle Thieves Nabbed In Osun

The Osun State Police Command has paraded five suspects arrested for allegedly stealing motorcycles in Ikirun, Iragbiji and Osogbo, the state capital.

The suspects are James-Oke Oladele, Hamsat Jamiu, Abayomi Atanda, Akanji Samuel, and Kazeem Onaopepo.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Wale Olokode while parading the suspects at the police headquarters in Osogbo revealed that they attacked a motorcyclist and snatched his motorcycle along the Ilesa garage area in Osogbo.

Olokode also disclosed that the arrest of the first suspect led to the arrest of others at Ikirun and Iragbiji respectively.

The suspects according to the Osun Police boss confessed that they snatched several motorcycles at different locations and sold them.

He explained that two Bajaj motorcycles were recovered from the suspects adding that efforts were ongoing to recover more stolen motorcycles from the suspects.

Olokode said investigation is on to arrest other suspects who are at large.
