Suspicious deaths of Missouri women remain under investigati

The 2020 death of a Missouri woman, Grace Holland, whose firefighter fiance told police she shot herself in the head is considered "suspicious" and remains under active investigation.

Grace was found with a single gunshot wound to the head in Robert Daus's home on July 22, 2020.

Despite initial conclusions of suicide by local investigators, the case comes alive amid renewed attention following the death of a second girlfriend in his home earlier this month.

The recent death of Dr. Sarah Sweeney, also in Daus's home, has brought renewed scrutiny to Holland's case.

Both women were romantically involved with Daus, who has not been named a suspect or charged in connection with either death.

“Her sudden death is under active investigation,” Frontenac Police Cpl. Tim Duda told Fox News Digital.

Her autopsy and toxicology results are expected within the next two to four weeks.
