Sylvester Oromoni: Doctor's Testimony Reveals Cause Of Death

Owhojedo Aghogho Henry, a medical doctor in Warri, Delta State, has testified that late Dowen College student Sylvester Oromoni died from an enlarged liver caused by beating and drinking a harmful substance.

While giving his testimony before the coroner's inquest at the Epe Magistrate Court in Lagos, the physician disclosed that he diagnosed the late 12-year-old with an enlarged liver before his death.

Henry said that he was informed by Oromoni's parents that their son had sustained injuries during a game of football but after a test was conducted on him, there was no evidence of fracture or dislocation.

"On 26/11/2021, the father of the deceased called and informed me that the late Sylvester Oromoni Jnr. was sick and had just been brought back from Lagos.

"The deceased's father informed me that Dowen College told them that the sickness of the boy was a result of injuries he sustained on his leg while playing football in the school.

"...Besides the test that was carried out that day, I examined him to find out if there was any fracture or dislocation since the parents told me they were informed by the school that he sustained injuries while playing football and there was no such evidence or fracture or dislocation of the upper or lower limbs", part of his official testimony reads.
