Syria’s state news agency (SANA) has made it known that a Syrian soldier was killed in an Israeli missile attack in southern Syria.
On Wednesday, the Israeli military carried out an air raid with missiles sent in the direction of the Syrian Golan.
The Syrian airforce retaliated by shooting down most of the missiles. A soldier was reported to have died in the attack.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Israeli missile killed five people in the west of Homs province in November.
Also earlier this month, Syrian military said Israeli fighter jets attacked the port of Latakia with missiles. The port is a vital facility where importation takes place.
The conflict in Syria has killed over hundred thousand people since it started in 2011. Israel has staged hundreds of strike on target within areas controlled by the government of President Bashar al-Assad.
