T.I Blaze Recounts How He Met Olamide [Video]

Fast-rising singer T.I Blaze has told the story of how he met rapper Olamide and how the 'Sometimes' remix came to be.

In a recent interview with Glitch Africa, the singer said that when he made the 'Sometimes' track, it didn't really move in the first and second months.

He disclosed that by the third month, he started seeing a lot of videos of people vibing to it on the internet.

“I was in the studio with producer Shocker,” Blaze said. “So we were just vibing and I said something.

"That Phrase 'Sometimes' he said this is crazy and he would like me to do the song. We started and did the song well.

“The first month, second month, the song was not moving. The third, fourth month, I saw that people started liking it, and I saw a lot of snaps.”

He added that he didn't really know how big the song had gotten until he performed at Small Doctor's concert.

“Sometime around December, I went to Small Doctor's concert and I was allowed to perform. That was when I know the song has gotten big. People were vibing to it. I was like 'Is this really me?”

On January 1, Blaze said that Olamide posted the song on his Instagram story and that was quite surprising to him.

OlamideThe singer reached out to Olamide and the rapper asked him to come by for a studio session. The rest, they say, is history.

“January 1, Baddo posted the song on his Instagram story. I was like 'wow' so I texted him and he replied.

"He asked me to come to his place and I went. We did 'Sometimes' remix and since then, things have been going fine.”
