Reacting to the recent onslaught by the troops against bandits, he said the state has begun enjoying the result that created enabling atmosphere for socio-economic activities in the state to strive.

As contained in a statement signed by the Director, Army Public Relations, Onyema Nwachukwu, Tambuwal further commended the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya for promoting "Capacity development, professionalism and welfare of personnel in the NA."

In his remark, the COAS, Lieutenant General Yahaya appreciated president Muhammadu Buhari for the confidence he reposed on the Nigerian Army in carrying out its constitutional roles.

He further commended the government and people of Sokoto state for their cooperation and support to the Nigerian Army and other security agencies in the state as they discharge their duties.
