Tanker Explosion Causes Gridlock In Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

On the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, another fuel-filled tanker exploded in the early hours of Thursday.

Traffic and gridlock have, however, occurred as a result of the explosion, which happened in Araromi Town before the interchange.

It was discovered that some nearby drivers had scampered to safety in other to avoid the loss of lives during the cause of the incident. 

The Ogun Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) reports that attempts are being made to contain the situation. 

To avoid needless delays, the FRSC recommended that drivers seek alternate routes.

Because a bus is also involved, the participants in the rescue operation are still unknown.

The commission stated that the crash location had been sealed off to prevent a further crash and that traffic had been rerouted.

The commission also asked drivers to maintain their composure and assist traffic controllers in resolving the problem.
