Ahead of the Local Government election slated for 30 June 2020, the Taraba State Government has announced a three-day public holiday.
The announcement was made by the governor's Chief Press Secretary, Hassan Mijinyawa, who said that the holiday will run from 29 June - 1 July, 2020.

The statement reads, “The public holiday is to enable civil servants to travel to their respective wards and vote during the local government election slated for Tuesday, June 30, 2020.
“The governor also urged people of the state to be orderly, law-abiding and conduct themselves peacefully while discharging their civic responsibilities.”
