The Governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas has approved the appointment of board members for the State Muslim, and Christian pilgrims boards. 

The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barrister Timothy Kataps conveyed the governor's approval in a statement on Friday in Jalingo, the state capital.

According to Kataps, the governor approved the appointment of Malam Umar Gambo Sufi as the Chairman of the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board while Reverend Moses Aliyuda serves as Chairman of the State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board.

He added that other members of the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board include "Alh. Aliyu Umar Nyeke, Mal. Yunusa Muhammad Agyo, and Mal. Abubakar Imam Kpantiburi.

"Others are Malam Bashir Aliyu Gassol, Alh. Armiyau Muhammad Maihanci, Alh. Sani Modibbo, Mal. Muhammad Buba, Barr. Bakari Ibrahim, Jamal Abdulnasir and Mal. Abdullahi Sani Mamman."

Stating that all the appointments are with immediate effect, the SSG listed members of the Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board.

He said they include: "Micah Philip Dopah, Rev. Dr. Duna Nelson, Most. Elijah Jegede, Bro. Vincent Hella, Evang. Ephesian Jesse, Father Mathias Akough, Mrs. Mercy Sambo, Danladi Wuniji Jecob, Hon. Philomena Yavala and Hon. Margret Bako."
