In a report shared by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Taraba State remains the only state in Nigeria to record a fatality from the coronavirus disease.
Nigeria has over 43,000 cases, with over 800 deaths, and more than 20,000 discharged cases.
Taraba has recorded only 54 cases, with 43 active cases and 11 recovered and no fatalities.

The state with the highest number of fatalities in the country is the metropolitan city, Lagos, with 192 deaths and over 15,000 cases.
The Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku, decried the lack of testing centre in the state, with the lockdown imposed on the state removed for the elections held on 30 June.
