On Friday, the Federal Capital Territory Administration stormed and demolished brothels in an area in Wuse, suspected to be hideouts for criminals.
Ikharo Attah, the Senior Special Adviser to the FCT Minister on Monitoring, Inspection and Enforcement said that the structures were environmental nuisance in the city.
Ikharo Attah said that "The illegal shops and brothels were bad despite the FCT minister’s commitment and conviction to keep Abuja clean."
“Wuse is the heart of the city and must not be turned into a den of criminals, and prostitutes. When you have scavengers, criminals, brothels, there are bound to be drug peddlers."
