As software continues to make more inroads into every sphere of life, the healthcare sector is not and will not be left out.

No amount of resources to make this sector an endless success will be too much.

Just as elsewhere in the world, a lot is happening in Nigeria's health sector based on technological discoveries.

A tech-enabled healthcare services provider, CloudClinic Limited, recently unveiled a cloud-based healthcare solution product, CloudClinic, that will facilitate virtual consultation between patients and licensed medical practitioners.

At the recent unveiling of the product in Ikoyi, Lagos State, founder and Chief Executive of Officer (CEO) of CloudClinic Ltd (CCL), Ifeanyi Aneke, said CCL came out of a burning desire to bring quality and affordable health care to the doorstep of every Nigerian.

“We believe that health care should be convenient and accessible to every Nigerian; this belief birthed the development of our cloud-based health care platform.

"France has the solution that is serving seven million people, just like India; so it can  be done here too.”

He revealed that the healthcare platform would partner with licensed doctors and over 1,000 licensed medical laboratories, pharmacies, and hospitals across the country.

“The application ensures strict adherence to optimal health standards for patients, offering a complete and world-class health care experience.

"CloudClinic offers an extensive feature that gives patients a wide range of diagnostic, pharmaceutical, and hospital options, relying on our partnership with licensed and recognised medical laboratories and pharmacies while ensuring the confidentiality of all medical records as patients are in control of who sees their health information,” he said.

Also speaking at the event, Clinical Director, CloudClinic Ltd, Dr Amy Ojiakor, explained thus, “Through CloudClinic, a doctor can request an investigation or prescribe a drug for the patient."

“The app also makes it possible for a patient to quickly locate a medical laboratory, pharmacy, and hospital nearest to him or her.”
