Teen Injured By Crocodile In Zambia

A teenager has been badly injured, after a crocodile attacked and bit her leg while trying to drag her into the water in Livingstone, Zambia.

The British girl, named Amelie Osborn-Smith was rescued with an helicopter to the Medland Hospital as she was given surgical treatment.

According to reports, the teenager visited Zambia, as her grandmother owns a farm in the country. In her interview, she said; "I accepted the fact that I was going to lose my foot as the incident occurred. But later, I was told that my foot was going to be fine and that I will be able to walk again."

She was allegedly swimming in the Zambesi river with some friends when the crocodile descended on her. Her friends rescued her by attacking the crocodile and getting her to safety.
