Teenager Beaten To Death For Raping Infant In South Africa

Police and residents gather at the scene where the teenager was tied and beaten to death.

A South African teenager was beaten to death by his family and community members for allegedly raping his sister and another minor in the area.

The 17-year-old allegedly raped the minor on Friday, April 7 in Verulam before fleeing the scene.

At around 11:36 a.m., private security, Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), got a plea for help from the ward Councillor.

According to RUSA spokesperson Prem Balram, upon arrival, RUSA members were greeted by uniformed police and detectives from the Verulam SAPS.

RUSA doctors were directed to an unpaved route where the teenager's corpse was discovered by police officers.

According to Balram, the 17-year-old was killed in the attack after being examined. He received blunt-force harm to several parts of his body.

Five persons were taken to the Verulam SAPS for questioning, including the deceased's mother.

The teenager was also accused of raping a second minor child in the vicinity. There were no criminal charges filed in either event. (including the one where he is accused of raping his sister).

Residents alleged that the deceased was responsible for many residential break-ins and invasions, according to Balram.

Police are reportedly investigating a case of murder.
