Telegram Adds Stories Feature To Premium Accounts As User Demand Soars

Telegram Adds Stories Feature To Premium Accounts As User De

Telegram confirmed via a tweet on Friday that they are introducing the Stories feature to their Premium users.

The change comes in response to a statement made by Pavel Durov, the CEO of Telegram, in July concerning the integration of Stories within the messaging service.

The precise day that Stories will be made available to non-Premium members has not yet been announced.

More than half of all feature requests Telegram receives are connected to Stories, according to Durov, who claimed that users have been requesting the functionality for years.

Due to the fact that Stories "are already everywhere," the firm was initially opposed to introducing them, but Durov claimed that the corporation changed its mind after user feedback.

You may control who can view your tales by using Telegram's tales feature. You have the option to decide who may see your Stories: everyone, just your connections, a small number of carefully chosen contacts, or a group of close friends.

Located at the top of your conversation list in an expanding area, stories will be posted. By moving their Stories from the main screen to the "Hidden" list in your Contacts area, you may conceal any Stories posted by a contact.

Your Stories also allow you to include subtitles and links. Adding tags to your Stories also lets you include other individuals. In addition, you will be able to upload concurrently in a BeReal-like manner both images and videos shot with the front and back cameras.

When your narrative ends is up to you. You may set it to expire in six, twelve, twenty-four, or forty-eight hours, for instance.

Alternatively, you may use a method similar to how Instagram allows you to display Story highlights to permanently display Stories on your profile page.

Prior to internal tests of Stories, Durov said that even the Telegram team's detractors began to love the function and that the messaging platform can no longer picture itself without it.
