Nigerian singer Tems has bagged a nomination in the ‘Best Hip Hop’ category in the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) 2022 for her contribution to Future’s hit collaboration titled ‘Wait For U’ featuring her and Drake.
The singer is the only Nigerian artiste on the nomination list which was released on Tuesday, July 26.
The awards ceremony is set to take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on Sunday, August 28.

Tems recently covered Bob Marley’s ‘No Woman, No Cry’ on the recently-released trailer for ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ which is scheduled for a November 11 release at San Diego Comic-Con.
The teaser begins with Tems’ rendition of ‘No Woman, No Cry’ before it seamlessly transitions to Kendrick Lamar’s 2015 resilient song ‘Alright’.
