Nigerian singers — Tems, Burna Boy and Pheelz — made the playlist of Former President of US Barack Obama's summer playlist.
As is his ritual practice every summer, Obama unveiled his playlist via his social media pages on Tuesday evening.
Tems ‘Vibe Out’ off her 2021 EP ‘If Orange Was A Place’ was second on the list while Burna Boy's Toni Braxton-sampled single ‘Last Last’ was 14th on the list.
Pheelz ‘Finesse’ featuring BNXN (fka Buju) also took the ‘28th’ spot on the list which contains 44 songs.
“Every year, I get excited to share my summer playlist because I learn about so many new artists from your replies—it’s an example of how music really can bring us all together.
"Here’s what I’ve been listening to this summer. What songs would you add?” Obama captioned the post.
In 2020, Wizkid’s award-winning ‘Essence’ featuring Tems made the list of Barack Obama’s favorites.
Also in 2019, Burna Boy’s ‘Anybody’ and Rema’s ‘Iron Man’ were featured in the list.
