Tems Expresses Curiosity About Status Of Upcoming Album

Following continuous inquiries from her fans about the release of her debut album, Nigerian singer Tems has now joined in on the questioning.

Taking to her Instagram Story on Monday night, Tems posed the same query, although it was not directed at anyone specific.

“Where’s our album?” she asked.

Since her 2021 sophomore EP titled ‘If Orange Was A Place’, Tems has not released any new projects.

However, she has gained significant global recognition for her music.

In 2022, her vocals from the song ‘Higher’ were sampled by Future on his single ‘Wait for U’, and she was credited as a featured artist alongside Drake.

The track debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making Tems the first African artiste to achieve this milestone and the second Nigerian artiste to top the chart.

Moreover, the song earned her a Grammy Award for Best Melodic Rap Performance.

Tems has continued to make notable contributions to the music scene.

In July 2022, she covered Bob Marley’s ‘No Woman, No Cry’ for the soundtrack album of the film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Additionally, her song ‘Free Mind’ from her debut EP also made its debut on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Throughout her career, Tems has received numerous accolades, including a Grammy Award, two NAACP Image Awards, two BET Awards, and two Soul Train Music Awards.

She has also showcased her songwriting skills by co-writing the song ‘Lift Me Up’ by Rihanna, which earned her nominations for the Academy Award for Best Original Song and the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song.

As anticipation builds for her debut album, fans eagerly await further updates from Tems regarding its release.
