Erik ten Hag has backed David de Gea to extend his Old Trafford career despite the club offering him a new deal that will reduce his current £375,000-a-week salary.
The 32-year-old has been at United since 2011 and will become a free agent on June 30.
Although, in theory, the final Premier League match against Fulham on Sunday could be his last appearance at Old Trafford.
But the Dutchman insists that De Gea's future is at Old Trafford.
“I think we want him to stay and he wants to stay so I think we will find each other," Erik ten Hag said.
“I never give a comment about how negotiations are going.”
