Erik ten Hag admits that he was happy to see Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro trade words with each other after Manchester United's win over Aston Villa last Sunday.
The pair were caught on camera at Old Trafford having a heated exchange as the Brazillian felt Fernandes did wrong by failing to keep possession in the final minute as United tried to see things out.
It took the intervention of Harry Maguire to settle their on-field spat which was scenes reminiscent of the duo's fiery on-field argument after winning the Carabao Cup at Wembley back in February.
But rather than address their latest disagreement, Ten Hag said that he encouraged discussions between his players.
“Yes, of course [I encourage them]," the Dutchman told the club's media.
They have to communicate. They have to organise it and make sure we get a win.
“So when they are talking to each other, in discussion, debating with each other, I don’t have a problem with that.”
