Tension In Ekiti Over Fate Of Assembly Speaker

There is palpable tension in Ekiti State over the fate of the House of Assembly Speaker, Gboyega Aribisogan.

This is as reports coming in from Ekiti State have it that the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Gboyega Aribisogan may have been impeached.

Though this report has not been verified.

Aribisogan was elected last week to replace Funminiyi Afuye who died in October.

But, in a twist of fate, the Speaker also accused the past state governor, John Kayode Fayemi of being the mastermind behind the impeachment move.

Last week also, personnel of the Nigerian Police stormed the Ekiti House of Assembly complex over the alleged threat of arson.
