Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag was left fuming with his team's performance against Liverpool which earned them a historic defeat, calling it unprofessional and unacceptable for a club of their stature.

Liverpool stunned Manchester United with a historic 7-0 victory, their biggest competitive win against the Red Devils ever. The previous record was set way back in 1895 with a 7-1 win in the second tier.

The defeat was so alarming, their manager Erik Ten Hag said "That is not Manchester United. We have to talk about it."

Despite the heavy defeat, Ten Hag remained hopeful and urged his team to reset and bounce back. "We've bounced back many times before. We will bounce back," he said.

However, he expressed his surprise and disappointment with his team's lack of resilience and winning attitude in the second half. "We didn't stick to the plan and we didn't do our jobs. Yes, I'm angry. Definitely," he added.
