The Only Obstacle In PSG's Path Is Bayern Munich

Paris Saint Germain secured the final of the UEFA Champions League after defeating Leipzig on Tuesday night in Lisbon but know fully well that the final is still a mountain to climb. They defeated one Germain side to qualify for the final but will have to defeat the Champions of Germany to claim the most wanted trophy in the club history.

AllNews understands that Bayern Munich has not qualified for the final of the UEFA Champions League yet with a fixture with another French side, Olympique Lyon. Lyon cannot be written off, since anything is possible in the game of football - with Bayern attacking prowess they might sweep Lyon all over Portugal, they did the same with all the teams they have faced this season - they should not get complacent with the French side already defeated Juventus and Manchester City, the morale at the Lyon camp is high and they are quite solid at the defense.

Should Bayern defeat Lyon, then, PSG might have their hands full with the German machines, well the real German machines. In the game against Leipzig, certain areas at the Parisian's camp needs adjustment.

Wasteful in front of goal

PSG was wasteful in front of goal, and this is not about half-decent chances, real clear cut one-on-one chances. The match details also prove how wasteful they were wasteful - playing 14 shots with just 6 on target.

Mbappe's ability to run down the flank or link up with Neymar is also an advantage but they should be aware Manuel Neuer is more of a defender than a keeper with the way he comes out of the box to retrieve the ball or even join the build-up from the back - so if PSG wingers; Neymar and Mbappe tries to push a run in a counter-attack, Neuer might be seen charging out to mop up the loose ball.

Playing Highline

Bayern operates on a Highline; where fullbacks; right-backs and left backs are seen up in the opposition final third and center-backs are positioned up in the midfield. This is how they play all their matches which leaves them open to be cut through but also puts their opposition is trouble when they are attacking with the possibility of anybody scoring at any point in the game. We have seen Kimmich, Alphonso Davies, Alaba scoring at some point in the tournament.

The problem is that PSG also plays that style and Barcelona did play that style and we all saw the result of that. Though Di Maria is also another force to reckon with - the Argentine is experienced though old but still conjures up some magic, but he cannot be much of a threat to Davies; who has the pace to be offensive and defensive throughout the game. He also has Alaba in his corner to cover up for him when he overlaps. Thiago also can be deployed sometimes toward that side of the pitch.

The true test for the French Champions

PSG has rather been having it rather easy since the commencement of the tournament, they qualified from a group of Real Madrid, Club Brugge, and Galatasaray. From the look of things, he seems Real Madrid and PSG are the favorites and favorites they were.

After that, they faced Dortmund, lost the first leg but won the second leg. Dortmund hardly made it out of their group, so not much of a test either. They faced Atalanta, the Italian side was great since the beginning of the tournament but they were not much of a toughy for PSG with more firing power and experience than them.

Leipzig also was like Atalanta less experience and the loss of Timo Werner also affected them, but they can be sure Bayern Munich is not just more experience, better team style and tactic but also in better form and unlimited morale gauge.

Bayern Munich stands between PSG and the UEFA Champions League, the cup of their dream but they can be sure the dream will be cut short if they are not ready for the true test for all champions.
