Kano state Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje
Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje says his 40 years of experience in politics makes the current crises rocking his party in Kano nothing to worry about, adding that in politics, there is no permanent enemy.
The Governor, during an interview with Radio France International, Hausa, on Wednesday, said one of the best qualities of a good politician is patience, adding that the national body of the party is working tirelessly to resolve the crises.
Ganduje said as an experienced politician, who studied politics at the university, he knows too well that there is no permanent enemy in politics.
“The situation is normal in politics. There are always possibilities of division, so also there are for reconciliation. So all of us in both factions are professional politicians and we’ve had the experiences of such happenings. So, the national body of our party is working to resolve the crisis.”
“But what I’m trying to clear here is that we are not new to politics and we didn’t just jump into it. I joined politics over 40 years ago, and in addition to that, I studied politics in the university, and that is what we are practising”
“The best we know about politics is that it is all about the patient, and there is no permanent enemy in politics. So, this is the page we are moving on and we will surely succeed,” he said.
Earlier in the day, Ganduje handed over power to his deputy and headed for the U.S. for a week-long course.
