IPOB: ‘There’s A State-sponsored Terrorism Against Biafra People’, Says Kanu

IPOB: ‘There’s A State-sponsored Terrorism Against Biafr

Pro-Biafra agitators

Kanunta Kanu, the younger brother of Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has stated that his sibling 'believes in non-violence to achieve Biafra'.

Proscribed IPOB, founded by diaspora-based Kanu in 2012 is a controversial secessionist movement in Nigeria. The organization agitates for the break-up of Nigeria and new nation of Biafra, saying people of Eastern Nigeria have suffered for so long at the hands of successive Nigerian governments.

Kanu’s brother’s post on Twitter

In a post on his known Twitter handle on Friday Kanunta Kanu alleges that a state-sponsored terrorism is ongoing against Igbo people.

“#MaziNnamdiKanu believes in nonviolent  to achieve #Biafra. He only asked #Biafrans to defend themselves against the invaders #FulaniHerdsmen and #Jihadists, state sponsored terrorism against #Biafranpeople.
Is it not what #Nigerians are calling for now?
#FreeNnamdiKanuNow,” he wrote.
