Following the reports of Typhoon Rai hitting the Philippines, many have evacuated their homes.
More than 300,000 people have fled their homes and beachfront resorts as the Typhoon hits many regions of the country.
Ricardo Jalad, the executive director of the National Disaster Agency stated that 12 people have been reported killed during the storm.
Also, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) said the storm tore down houses to pieces, with broken roads and many parts of the cities underwater.
The Philippines is ranked as one of the world’s most vulnerable countries to be affected by climate change. The nation is regularly hit by an average of 20 storms and typhoons every year.
