Thousands Of South African Youths Queue For 200 Metro Police Recruitment.

Thousands of unemployed youths from Durban and surrounding areas braved the scorching heat to submit their applications for Metro Police 200 recruitment spot. 

Only 200 applicants will be chosen from among the hundreds of stacks of applications to enrol in the Metro Police program in Durban.

“Thousands of applicants queued outside the Kings Park Athletics Stadium today to submit applications for the City’s recruitment process for 200 Authorised Officers", stated Ethekwini Metropolitan Municipality. 

According to the Ethekwini Metropolitan Municipality, the officers' responsibilities would include traffic management, giving traffic violation notifications to drivers, and dealing with criminal offences.

According to the City, the recruitment process closes on 20 January.

“Application forms can be handed in between 8.30 am and 2 pm at the above-mentioned stadium.

"However, on Friday, which is the closing day for applications, forms can be submitted between 8.30 am and 12 pm", the city communicated. 

The Durban Metro Police further emphasised, “If you are interested in joining Durban Metro Police Service and you have not applied online, you can come and drop your application form at Kings Park Athletic stadium.

"We are accepting application forms from today (16/01/2023) till Friday (20/01/2023) at 12h00. One can do both, manual and online applications."

The Durban Metro Police have further said that neither the job openings nor the application forms are for sale.
