Two persons have escaped unhurt in a lone road traffic accident that occurred at the Babalakin section of the Gbongan-Osogbo expressway on Saturday.
According to the road traffic First Information Report from the Osun Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), the crash occurred around 7 pm.
The accident which involved a blue-coloured Suzuki commercial minibus with registration number BKN590XA was caused due to overspeeding on the part of the driver.
As of the time of filing this report, the number of occupants in the vehicle has not been ascertained.
The FRSC, Osun Sector Command, has however taken the victims to a nearby hospital for prompt medical attention, and the crashed vehicle was towed to the FRSC base in Gbongan.
Similarly, one person has been injured and another escaped unhurt in a traffic accident at Ago-Oko, inbound Oke-Itoku, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Eyewitnesses revealed that the accident involved a blue-coloured Nissan Almera with registration number AKM 634 SS and a black Toyota Camry with registration number JGB 115 TB.
They also attributed the crash to reckless driving on the part of the blue Nissan driver.
The injured person was taken to General hospital Ijaiye, Abeokuta by good Samaritans for medical attention.
