Three managers ideal for Nigeria’s Super Eagles

Three managers ideal for Nigeria’s Super Eagles

Nigeria would be making a big step towards redemption as the future beckons on the talent laden Super Eagles who narrowly lost to eventual Champions and host Ivory Coast in AFCON 2023.

The likes of Ola Aina, Kelechi Iheanacho and Samuel Chukwueze could thrive on the Nigerian green and white shirt.

That would be if they get it right in the next coming days based on the selection of a new boss for the Super Eagles.

Even as we look forward to the Super Eagles welcoming talents like Gift Orban, Jordan Torunarigha and Chuba Akpom to the team.

But as the day continues to unfold in essence, Allnews.ng evaluates three managers ideal for the Super Eagles.

Samson Siasia

The former U-20 (WYC) World Youth Championship Coach Samson Siasia would be one of the ideal candidates for the Super Eagles job.

He has proven his mettle when he took the (WYC) that unearthed fine players like John Obi Mikel, Taye Taiwo and Sani Kaita to the finals.

Even their brand of football was amazing as the Nigerian fans have loved and believed in his ability to handle the National team.

The only challenge is that he has to reach October later in the year before his ban with FIFA expires for him to return to football.

Sunday Oliseh

The former Nigeria midfield talented Sunday Oliseh is going to be another capable hand to manage the Super Eagles as his understanding of the game is quite commendable.

He left his role as the Super Eagles boss citing a bridge of contract as he was owned his salary for a couple of months.

But in his time with the Super Eagles team, it was obvious the team was on a steady transformation.

It would be a good idea to have him considered for the role again as Nigeria really needs to change their manager thus moving away from Portuguese handler Jose Peseiro in earnest.

Emmanuel Amunike

The former Super Eagles winger and legend would be a great plus to the National team if he’s selected to handle the Super Eagles.

He’s brought up the likes of Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze as well as the Kelechi Nwakali and Kingsley Michael.

The former may not realized his potential playing for Nigeria but Amunike can help him do so as part of his rebuilding process.

It’s left to be seen if Nigeria and its Football handlers can change their manager with respect to allowing Jose Peseiro go for good.
