Three Persons Dead, Others Injured In Lagos-Ibadan Expresswa

Three persons have died and three others were severely injured in a lone road accident on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

This was confirmed to reporters on Monday in Abeokuta by Ahmed Umar, Sector Commander of the FRSC in Ogun.

According to Umar, a Toyota Sienna with the license plate DKP 60 LG was involved in the accident, which happened early on Monday.

He continued by saying that incident happened right before the first AP turning point following the Danco gas station on the highway.

According to him, the driver lost control of the vehicle due to speeding. Six persons were in the car, including two women and four men.

“A total of three people were injured, two male adult and one female adult and unfortunately three persons lost their lives in the accident,” he said.

The injured victims were being treated at Idera Hospital, according to Umar, while the deceased were placed in the morgue of the same hospital.

The sector commander expressed sympathy to the accident victims and warned drivers against speeding, especially now that the ember months are here.
