TikTok creators, ByteDance, has said that it would not be selling its US operations to Microsoft, as stated by Microsoft in a statement.
The US tech giant said that it had made a proposal that it was certain "would have been good for TikTok users."
It said, "We are confident our proposal would have been good for TikTok’s users, while protecting national security interests."
US President Donald Trump had said that he had been told - by ByteDance - that it was not going to sell its US operations of its short-video content creation app TikTok to Microsoft.
ByteDance was given until September 20 to sell off its TikTok US operations, according to an executive order by Trump.
