Timothy Adegoke: Permission To Show CCTV Footage, Official R

Adegoke Timothy Oludare

Abiodun Williams, one of the lawyers representing Dr. Ramon Adedoyin, the Chairman of Hilton Hotel, Ile-Ife has asked the public to disregard social media information relating to footage from a Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) revealing that the killers of Timothy Adegoke have been found.

The lawyer revealed that the Police did not give permission or release any official report on their investigations as of yet.

Williams who was reacting to earlier stories that are rife in the social media space, decried the methods used by bloggers and uncertified websites to whip up public sentiments and drive traffic.

While describing it as a major distraction for the police currently trying to unravel the cause of the death of the student of Obafemi Awolowo University, he added that such methods were aimed at hurting Adedoyin and members of his immediate family.

An earlier report by a popular online news platform quoting Oriyomi Hamzat, a popular social media storyteller had disclosed that Closed Circuit Television installed at the Hilton Hotels and Resorts, Ile-Ife, Osun State, revealed how the owner of the facility, Rahmon Adedoyin, his son, Raheem, and Adedoyin’s aide, Moshood, were behind the murder of the Masters of Business Administration student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Timothy Oludare.

Hamzat, who is the founder of an Ibadan, Oyo State-based radio station, Agidigbo FM, had revealed this in a video posted on his Instagram page on Friday.

Oriyomi Hamzat who is also a human rights activist had also disclosed that the police had authorised him to reveal the content of the CCTV that showed how Oludare was killed.

While declaring that there will soon be a court case on the matter, he also disclosed that among the four suspects, three have been declared wanted as it was only Adedoyin that was in the custody of the police.

Hamzat also stated that as the police continue with their investigation on the matter, the family will begin preparation for the burial of the deceased.

Timothy Oludare Adegoke had lodged at the hotel when he wanted to write his examinations in Obafemi Awolowo University in late 2021. He was allegedly murdered in the hotel.
