President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced ongoing arrangements between the Federal Ministry of Power and the Federal Ministry of Education to establish modalities for harnessing sustainable power, particularly through compressed natural gas, to enhance research endeavors in universities.

He disclosed this during his address at the 38th Convocation of Bayero University, Kano (BUK) held at the institution's premises on Saturday.

Represented by the Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, President Tinubu reiterated the government's commitment to promoting education and sustainable development.

"The administration is working towards revamping vocational and Tsangaya centres to improve education and expand skills among youths in the country.”

In his remarks at the occasion, President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, congratulated the graduands and advised them to consider themselves as leaders of tomorrow by making the best use of their degrees.

He urged members of the National Assembly and other elected officials to emulate the Deputy Senate President by investing in education for the development of the country.
