The President of Togo, Faure Gnassingbe, was sworn in at a ceremony on Sunday, with few guests present at the swearing in due to the measures taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Present at the swearing-in were guests numbering 200, with everyone doning nose masks and observing the rule of social distancing.
Diplomats in the country after the country closed its borders also graced the occasion.
Gnassingbe won by an overwhelming majority in the February elections, marking his fifteenth year as president of Togo, with this current reign adding an extra five.

Gnassingbe was inaugurated as president even amid the opposition's - former prime minister Agbeyome Kodjo - contentions with the outcome of the election.
Kodjo won only 18.37 percent of the electoral votes and was detained by the military after he announced that he was Togo's president-elect.
