Top 5 Managers With The Most League Points In 21st Century

Numerous top managers from different leagues have emerged in this 21st century and some of them have gone further to attain legendary status in the game.

While Sir Alex Ferguson is considered to be the greatest manager of all time, there are some managers who can claim to be the best in the business.

Here, we will take a look at five managers who have garnered the most league points in the 21st century.

1. CARLO ANCELOTTI - 1,434 Points

Italian Coach Carlo Ancelotti who has managed clubs across the European Leagues is at the top of the list having garnered 1,434 points in 706 games since the turn of the century. 

The clubs he has managed during his managerial career so far include Juventus, AC Milan, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Napoli, and Everton.

He is active and still managing the top elite club Real Madrid in his second spell.

2. ARSENE WENGER - 1,381 points

Frenchman Arsene Wenger who is Arsenal's greatest manager ever comes second with 1,381 points in 702 matches to his name.

All points were gotten from his time with Arsenal when he managed them for 22 years since the turn of the century. It is also worthy of mention that he made Arsenal a top club in England during his management years.

3. JOSE MOURINHO - 1,194 points

Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho's (a.k.a The Special One) managerial career came to the limelight with his spectacular feat with Porto in 2004.

Over the years, he has established himself as one of the greatest managers in the world and also a serial winner.

Mourinho has earned 1,194 points in 561 matches to his managerial career since the turn of the century from some top clubs across Europe.

He might not be the same manager that he was once proclaiming to be that doesn't stop him from being the third manager on our list.

He is still active and also managing a top club in AS Roma.

4. SIR ALEX FERGUSON - 1,132 points

Scottish former football manager Sir Alex Ferguson is best known for managing Manchester United from 1986 to 2013. He is widely considered the greatest football manager of all time and has won more trophies than any other manager in the history of football with the English clubside.

He garnered 1,132 points in 513 matches since the turn of the century during his managerial position at Manchester United and he is on our list as the fourth manager despite retiring 8 years, showing why he is considered the greatest football manager.

5. PEP GUARDIOLA - 1,093 points

The Spanish professional football manager and former player revolutionized the way football was played during his managerial time in Barcelona and has been extremely impressive throughout his managerial career, having won the league and Champions League with Barcelona.

Guardiola won the league titles with other clubs he managed in Germany and England but he couldn't repeat the same feat of winning the champions league with other clubs he has been managing since he left Barcelona.

The Spanish manager is fifth on our list with 1,093 points but he has the best points per game ratio of the managers we have.

He garnered 1,093 points in just 453 matches which shows how remarkable his managerial career has been.
